Charnwood Borough Councils new Arts Strategy highlighted that community members with disabilities, the elderly, young people and those in deprived wards would like to participate more frequently within the arts.
The London Mozart Players created workshops that specifically catered for the needs of each individual group. The aim was to develop skills, confidence and provide the opportunity and experience of being involved with classical music and instruments.
Mountsorrel Leisure Centre was chosen as the venue to enable us to bring a professional concert to rural communities and to give those who may not be able to attend theatre’s the opportunity of experiencing such high standard performances in a comfortable accessible local setting. Good parking facilities will allow other concert goers from further a field easy access to the event.
